Our History
Ready, set, launch
WASCO launches waste management and recycling operations in Jeddah to provide raw materials for sister company MEPCO’s containerboard and paperboard production.
Hello, Khamees Mushait
WASCO’s first local expansion: we open a branch in Khamees Mushait.
New facility alert
Our first materials recovery facility (MRF) opens in Riyadh.
Covering 50% of KSA market
Recycling 500,000 tonnes of wastepaper annually, WASCO becomes the region’s largest waste management company.
HIPIT opens its doors
WASCO and MEPCO establish the Higher Institute for Paper & Industrial Technologies (HIPIT) – a not-for-profit technical training centre for young people who want to make their mark on industrial sector.

Powering Saudi Vision 2030
Partnering with consultant Roland Berger, WASCO develops a strategy to support the KSA Government’s Saudi Vision 2030. We also win the Top Saudi Achievers Award and are a finalist in the Gulf Sustainability and CSR Awards.

Amid global lockdowns, WASCO ensures MEPCO has a steady supply of raw materials to maintain uninterrupted production, despite local curfews and a drastic reduction in waste volumes.
